Tangled

Tangled was brilliant, I am a huge Disney fan not to be biased but unlike some of the other newer Disney flicks Tangled was amazing. It had the "origianl feel" of a Disney princess movie with a modern day twist. I cracked up throughout the movie at the adult humor and was on the verge of tears when the story was wrapping up. It made me want to be a princess again like I did back in the day when I was seven. It was made even better because Rapunzel was witty, beautiful and had her OWN personality not the typical Disney princess who acts like a helpess girl all the time. Of course every girl has their moments, I just enjoyed that she gave it a try on her own every once in awhile! I highly recommend this movie and disagree completley with the movies.com critics who seem to have negative outlooks on almost every movie they write about. Its a must see if not in Theatres then a keeper for home. Enjoy and have fun being a kid again for 1.5 hours and getting wrapped up in a prince charming romance once again.

Remember Me

Wow is all I have to say. I left this movie depressed and shocked by the ending of the film, the entire film you sit there watching a young man deal with life struggles while falling in love making the film interesting but just sad. Pattinson plays the character Tyler dealing with lifes hardships in a very unique manner. He is very close with his younger sister who really made the film to the point I wished more of the film was about her life. But it was about Tyler and Ally who had fairly good chemistry (Ally/Tyler) their developing relationship felt real not just a typical on-screen romance. I enjoyed the relationship except for how quickly they were in love and how much had happened in so little time was unrealistic making out to be annoying. Steamy scenes and many sudden out breaks later (by Pattinson) the real BANG ending of the film happened and it ripped everyone in the audience apart. You think that the film was pretty good then they whip out the saddest ending leaving you crying just when things look they could finally could be going in the right direction for Tyler, Ally and his family. Enjoyed what they were doing with the film and that I was shocked but how it happened and so last minute ruined me. I like a good tear jerker but not at the end right after seeing moody dysfunctional relationships throughout the entire film it just was to much. But props for all of the little ties in the film like the two brothers being being 22, but the shock factor was just cruel.

Grade C+ film

Alice in Wonderland

In one word unique. This film was very mezmorizing and odd. It carried an odd feeling throught the film but in a good way. I enjoyed the film but left the theatre feeling like I had actuallly was going a little batty. I enjoyed the characters but wished that like most stories similar to this one they create a world and Wonderland felt like a place but it did not have the real feeling that most films portray when creating a new world. I was disappointed that I did not feel like Wonderland was real. Depp was way in left field but in a great way he made the mad hater truley mad and I loved it. It was interesting to see the characters in such a different light than what they are portrayed from the stories and Disney film which I in some ways I liked in others like the white queen I did not like at all. I did enjoy the intricate detail of the film and most enjoyed the connection in the film that really tied the film together. The twist made the film what it was and overall it was a good film. Not a child's film but a good film.

Notorious

I decided after wanting to watch this movie since it was in theaters to finally watch this film and I really enjoyed it. It was real unlike most movies. Granted it was a biography of the Notorious BIG but it was executed very well and my eyes were open to a world that I am unaccustomed. I enjoyed learning not only about his life and career but the inside world of rap. The actors did a wonderful job portraying the real people making it that much better. I was in tears a few times throughout the movie and biggie smalls mother (Angela Bassett) played a great role and was truly inspiring. I would recommend this movie to anyone who is interested in biographies and of course to someone who is interested to get a glimpse of the life of a rapper. If this is the real way or not it was fascinating.

VALENTINES DAY

I went and saw this opening night and to say the least it did not make me any happier about Valentine's Day. It had a twisted plot with all of the characters which was what made the movie ok but with all of the brilliant actors and actresses in this cast I was disappointed with the lack of emotion risen by the movie. I barley laughed in the movie let alone have another emotion arise inside me. There were a few cute lines here and there and the plot did develop well but with the lack of acting I just can not consider this a good movie to go to. Which is a disappointment considering I was hoping to have a movie that would make me laugh cry and everything in between since it is right around Valentines day. So for all of you mushy love movie go-ers or comedy ridden folk this movie is a renter because you won't find much of either of these in this film.
Therefore this is a Grade C Movie.

NINE

I really do not even know what to say or where to begin. I was so confused about where the story was going that half way through the movie I gave up on trying to understand the film that was very slow and got popcorn because I needed something to spice things up. The music and dancing was wonderful but the rest of the movie was nothing to write home about because when I put it together with the music and dancing it felt like it was going nowhere. It was obvious to me that the star Guido Contini (Daniel Day Lewis) was going to make the entire movie into a movie of some sorts but it was too slow of a process. I thought it would have been better if he had at least discovered that earlier in the film it would have made it more interesting to see how people would react to that than see him deal with his own life struggle slowly and painfully in my opinion. Everyone did an outstanding job with their musical numbers but aside from that I was bored during the film. Not my favorite musical movie I would pick Chicago or Moulin Rouge over this film but it is fun to see the dancing and singing. It is what I would like to call a renter.

Alvin & the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel

I FINALLY SAW IT! I have been waiting since day one to see this movie the trouble was finding someone to go with me... thank you matt:) I am well over the age of 6 therefore finding a buddy to go with was difficult. I usually do not need someone to go to the movies with but in this case I wanted a co judge. And I would have to say after laughing and awwwwwing multiple times we decided it was not bad at all. If you wanna have have a few laughs and can see the humor in little chipmunks then you will enjoy this movie and I can't help it I think all 6 of the chipmunks are just adorable (especially Theodore) little chubber. My emotions were brought out by those little munks too. Multiple emotions were risen throughout the movie and overall I really enjoyed it when the chipmunks were on screen but I felt like compared to the last one the plot was lacking and the story was not as much about the chipmunks as Ian (David Cross) and Toby (Zach Levi). I really missed the interaction of Alvin and Dave (Jason Lee) they made the last movie a lot funnier. It also was disappointing that the new chipettes were lacking parts as well considering the three girl chipmunks were being introduced into the film. I felt like they could have done a better job with developing a better plot that included more of all six of the chipmunks and Dave considering those should be the main characters in the film and in my opinion is the main reason you go to the film. But I can't complain completely because I was laughing throughout the movie and if they come out with a third one I will be seeing it because those chipmunks are so darn cute and really do make me laugh!
