NINE

I really do not even know what to say or where to begin. I was so confused about where the story was going that half way through the movie I gave up on trying to understand the film that was very slow and got popcorn because I needed something to spice things up. The music and dancing was wonderful but the rest of the movie was nothing to write home about because when I put it together with the music and dancing it felt like it was going nowhere. It was obvious to me that the star Guido Contini (Daniel Day Lewis) was going to make the entire movie into a movie of some sorts but it was too slow of a process. I thought it would have been better if he had at least discovered that earlier in the film it would have made it more interesting to see how people would react to that than see him deal with his own life struggle slowly and painfully in my opinion. Everyone did an outstanding job with their musical numbers but aside from that I was bored during the film. Not my favorite musical movie I would pick Chicago or Moulin Rouge over this film but it is fun to see the dancing and singing. It is what I would like to call a renter.

Grade C movie.

Alvin & the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel

I FINALLY SAW IT! I have been waiting since day one to see this movie the trouble was finding someone to go with me... thank you matt:) I am well over the age of 6 therefore finding a buddy to go with was difficult. I usually do not need someone to go to the movies with but in this case I wanted a co judge. And I would have to say after laughing and awwwwwing multiple times we decided it was not bad at all. If you wanna have have a few laughs and can see the humor in little chipmunks then you will enjoy this movie and I can't help it I think all 6 of the chipmunks are just adorable (especially Theodore) little chubber. My emotions were brought out by those little munks too. Multiple emotions were risen throughout the movie and overall I really enjoyed it when the chipmunks were on screen but I felt like compared to the last one the plot was lacking and the story was not as much about the chipmunks as Ian (David Cross) and Toby (Zach Levi). I really missed the interaction of Alvin and Dave (Jason Lee) they made the last movie a lot funnier. It also was disappointing that the new chipettes were lacking parts as well considering the three girl chipmunks were being introduced into the film. I felt like they could have done a better job with developing a better plot that included more of all six of the chipmunks and Dave considering those should be the main characters in the film and in my opinion is the main reason you go to the film. But I can't complain completely because I was laughing throughout the movie and if they come out with a third one I will be seeing it because those chipmunks are so darn cute and really do make me laugh!

Grade B- film.
